Details: Hygro and hygrothermo transducers (capacitive) for climatic applications

Description

Hygro transducers of the 907020 series are specially designed for the most common air conditioning applications and ventilation.
The transducers measure the relative humidity by means of a humidity dependent capacitor. This capacitive sensing element consists of a support plate carrying the electrodes, covered by a hygroscopic polymer film. This polymer film absorbs or releases water molecules from the medium being measured (air), thereby changing the capacity of the capacitor. An electronic circuit converts the capacity corresponding to humidity, and produces a standardized current or voltage output signal.
The transducers are only designed for atmospheric pressure systems, not for aggressive gasses. As standard, the sensing element is protected by a gauze filter (not for the indoor version). The accessories include further exchange filters to allow the use of the transducers outdoors or under extreme conditions. The transducers are non condensing and guarantee reliable humidity measurements in a working range of 5 to 95% rel. hum. Available versions with an additional temperature measuring range allow extended applications. In addition to the standard versions with standardized output signals from 4 ... 20mA or 0 ... 10V, some versions also offer an output signal from 0 ... 20mA or a passive Pt 100 temperature output.Different designs ensure simple and reliable installation to suit application and location.
In particular the compact rod versions with connection cable, which also come with an optional plug connector, meet the most varied applications. The range is complemented by a particularly sturdy version with a J form connection head.

Details: Capacitive Hygrothermal Transducer with Intelligent Interchangeable Probes

Description

Push-in measuring probes replaceable within seconds are the main benefit of this series.
Calibration data directly stored in the probe permit a possibly necessary replacement of probes without any loss of precision. Moreover, precision calibration methods and the latest micro-processor technology guarantee a reliable measurement and high measuring accuracy throughout the entire range of application. The exceptional longevity is based on many years of experience gained from the capacitive humidity probes used.
For applications in somewhat higher ambient temperatures, in confined spaces or simply to extend the probe, optionally available adapter cables in lengths of 2 m, 5 m or 10 m can be installed between the measuring probe and the measured value transducer.
The usual voltage outputs of 0 ... 1V, 0 ... 5V, 0 ... 10V or 4 ... 20mA (2 conductor) current outputs area available as output signals, knowing that temperature scaling can be factory-adapted to the desired ranges.
An optionally integrating LC display permits the alternating display of the current humidity and temperature values directly at the device.

On-site calibration of humidity and temperature
Loop calibration of humidity and temperature output values recommended by FDA (Food and Drug Administration) for the pharmaceutical and bio-technological industry is very easily accomplished by means of rF and T measuring probes, which are also separately available. Required adjustment of both analog outputs can be easily achieved through the function keys provided inside the device.

Reference probes
The reference probes available as accessory items offer the possibility of checking the measuring loop for function and precision. Both reference probes can be fitted in lieu of the replaceable
measuring probes. They emit fixed humidity and temperature values. The reference probes are supplied together with a test report, and simulate a high humidity and a low temperature value and vice versa (probe 1: 90% rF/5°C and probe 2: 10% rF/45°C). This permits checking both analog outputs at the upper or at the lower scale end.
